I have known that data is a collection of facts, figures and statistics related to an object. Data can be processed to create useful information. Besides, information is the manipulated and processed form of data. Observations and recordings are done to obtain data, while analysis is done to obtain information.
I also have known that information is an effective tool to influence and persuade people. It has two basic elements: Reach and Richness (Bandwidth, Customization and Interactivity)
Last but not least, I have learned that Information management is the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences. And there are some problems that related to information management still exist, such as: poor quality of information, including lack of consistency, duplication, out-of-date information, and so on.
